The traditional craft of rolling incense sticks is increasingly giving way to machine production. Not only are the incense sticks losing a vital part of their quality, but many jobs, mainly for women, are disappearing. We therefore rely on fairly paid manual labour, completely without machines.

Paropakaram incense sticks are not dried in a wind turbine, but in the South Indian sun. This not only saves electricity but also gives the incense sticks a very special character.
Environmentally friendly packaging
Plastic-free and sustainable: We have paid particular attention to a holistic approach not only in the production of the incense sticks, but also in the packaging. For this reason, we use recycled cardboard in the production of the packaging and old newspapers for the inner pockets.
